Primary Registries in the WHO Registry Network meet specific criteria for content, quality and validity, accessibility, unique identification, technical capacity and administration. Primary Registries meet the requirements of the ICMJE.

In Latin America, Peru, Brazil and Cuba have primary registries in the WHO Registry Network. As Director of PAHO has mentioned: “This essential step for the implementation of Primary registries in America”

Furthermore, during Peruvian National Institute of Health Anniversary 120th Ceremony, Dr. Miguel Malo, who represented PAHO/WHO, mentioned REPEC´s international accreditation. Also, He highlighted this achievement and read the letter of accreditation sent from Dra. Clarissa F. Etienne, PAHO Director, to Peruvian Minister of Health.
